Museun of New Mexico Collection

The Museum of New Mexico is able to offer a wide range of designs for a fresh interpretation of multicultural style. Pattern and texture has taken inspiration from the extraordinary collection of Navajo and Pueblo Indian rugs and ceremonial costumes at the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture resulting in a series of bold geometric designs and traditional southwestern patterns. Fabrics range from primary bold colors of reds and oranges to an updated indigo blue story fading into a more neutral blue grey palette. To accompany these designs, Kravet fashioned a group of textural stripes adapted from Peruvian ponchos, Moroccan floor coverings and Turkish tunics found in the acclaimed ethnic textile collection of the Museum of International Folk Art in rich shades of rusts and browns, colors that compliment the beauty of sunset.
